Bridging Hardship

Bridging Hardship Awards are intended to support students through a difficult patch in their University career in order for them to continue studying and complete their degree. The awards are available for students from all income backgrounds who experience genuinely unforeseen financial difficulty during their time at University.

Thanks to gifts from former students of the University (alumni), we have been able to support around 120 students over the last 3 years. Donations from alumni to the University come in many forms and are of varying sizes - some donate by standing order every month, whilst others choose to write a cheque for a lump sum. Each alumnus who donates demonstrates their commitment to helping advance education and their compassion for the circumstances that caused the need for their support.
