Annual Cockcroft Rutherford Lecture - 11 June 2013 - Professor James Thompson
We are delighted to invite you to save the date for the 2013 Cockcroft Rutherford Lecture. This prestigious event will take place on Tuesday 11 June and speaking is Professor James Thompson, Professor of Applied and Social Theatre and Executive Director of the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute (HCRI).

As an alumnus working in the textile, materials or fashion industry, we would like to invite you to join us at one of our alumni events in London or Manchester. The Ecuadorian Amazon is one of the most biodiverse and endangered regions of our planet. Many people want to protect the biodiversity that remains, but the reality on the ground is a complex dilemma. This exhibition, is based on three years of personal research experience by scientist and photographer, Johan Oldekop.

Manchester Literary and Philosophical Society Established in 1781, one of the oldest learned societies in the country. Past members include John Dalton; James Prescott Joule; William Fairbairn, the engineer; Henry Roscoe, the chemist; Ernest Rutherford, the nuclear physicist, and Joseph Whitworth, the precision engineer. Throughout the year the Manchester Lit and Phil presents a programme of lectures by acknowledged experts in a wide range of subjects. More details
